Bitcoin Bharat Brings the Bitcoin India Tour to Meerut

Meerut is home to a growing community of students, innovators, and future leaders preparing to shape India's future. As conversations around technology and finance continue to evolve, Bitcoin Bharat brought the Bitcoin India Tour to Meerut to introduce students to the fundamentals of money, financial independence, and Bitcoin.

More than 150 students came together to explore Bitcoin, financial independence, and the future of money. One message: understand Bitcoin before the future arrives.

Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Meerut

The first stop of the Bitcoin India Tour in Meerut was the Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), where students gathered for an interactive session exploring the foundations of money and Bitcoin.

During the session, students explored the history and evolution of money, how purchasing power changes over time, and the challenges associated with traditional financial systems. The discussion then introduced Bitcoin from first principles, covering why Bitcoin was created, how it works, and what makes it different from conventional monetary networks.

Students learned about Bitcoin mining, network security, decentralization, and how Bitcoin operates without a central authority. Interactive discussions and open Q&A sessions encouraged students to think critically about the future of money and the role Bitcoin may play in it.

The session also introduced students to the Bitcoin Lightning Network, Bitcoin's growing global impact, and the opportunities available for those interested in building careers within the Bitcoin ecosystem.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Meerut Campus

The Bitcoin India Tour continued at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Meerut Campus, where students participated in a 2-3 hour educational session focused on Bitcoin and financial sovereignty.

Through speaker-led presentations, interactive discussions, and open Q&A sessions, students explored topics including financial independence in the digital age, self-custody, Bitcoin wallets, and the importance of understanding money in an increasingly digital world.

Students were also introduced to internship opportunities, career pathways, and educational resources available for those interested in contributing to the Bitcoin ecosystem as developers, researchers, designers, educators, and community builders.

Importantly, the session focused on Bitcoin education and foundational learning. Bitcoin Bharat's mission is to help students understand Bitcoin from technological, economic, and societal perspectives rather than encouraging speculation. This approach helps participants build a strong foundation and make informed decisions as they continue their learning journey.

Across both campuses, students showed strong curiosity and engagement, demonstrating a growing interest in understanding Bitcoin beyond headlines and market narratives.
