Bitcoin Education in Bengaluru

Bitcoin Bharat Expands Bitcoin Education Across Bengaluru Campuses
Bengaluru needs no introduction when it comes to technology. India's Silicon Valley has built some of the world's most important software, products, and startups. It is a city that understands innovation from the inside out. So when Bitcoin Bharat brought the Bitcoin India Tour to Bengaluru, it was not introducing a foreign idea. It was starting a conversation that was long overdue.
100+ students. Dozens of conversations. A growing community. One message: understand Bitcoin before the world moves on without you.
UVCE Bengaluru, January 28, 2026
The Bitcoin India Tour opened its Bengaluru chapter at the University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering on January 28, 2026, one of Karnataka's oldest and most respected engineering institutions, founded in 1917.
UVCE's legacy in engineering education made it the right place to begin. The session introduced students to Bitcoin from first principles, covering the history and evolution of money, why fiat currency loses purchasing power over time, what Bitcoin is and why it was created, and how the network operates as a decentralised global system with no central point of control.
For engineering students already thinking in systems and protocols, Bitcoin's architecture was not difficult to grasp. It was fascinating. A distributed network secured by mathematics, running without servers, without companies, and without the need for trust between strangers. UVCE's students got their first structured look at what that actually means.
Christ University, Bengaluru
From engineering to one of Bengaluru's most diverse academic environments, Bitcoin Bharat brought the Bitcoin India Tour to Christ University, an institution known across India for its multidisciplinary student community spanning business, economics, law, science, and the humanities.
Christ University was a deliberate stop. Bitcoin education should not only reach engineers and developers. It belongs in economics classrooms, in business schools, and in any room where students are forming their understanding of how money, markets, and financial systems work.
The session at Christ University covered Bitcoin's monetary foundations: why the current financial system has structural limitations, what a fixed supply of 21 million means for an asset in a world of endless money printing, and why a growing number of people globally are choosing Bitcoin as a tool for financial sovereignty. For students from commerce and economics backgrounds, this framing landed differently than it does in an engineering room. And that is exactly the point.
Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru
Bitcoin Bharat's third Bengaluru stop was Ramaiah Institute of Technology, one of Karnataka's premier private engineering colleges and a consistent producer of top engineering talent across India and beyond. The session was led by speaker Krishna Yogi.
Ramaiah's student community sits at the intersection of technical depth and entrepreneurial ambition. Many of its graduates go on to build products, join startups, or contribute to global technology companies. For this audience, Bitcoin is not just a monetary story. It is a builder's story.
Krishna Yogi guided the room through Bitcoin's technical and economic fundamentals, from how the Bitcoin network achieves consensus without a central authority to the real opportunities available for students who want to contribute to the Bitcoin ecosystem as developers, researchers, or educators. The session moved from theory into practical understanding, covering self-custody, how wallets work, and what it actually means to hold Bitcoin responsibly.
Why Bengaluru Matters for Bitcoin Bharat
Bengaluru is home to a generation of builders. The developers, product managers, and entrepreneurs being trained in its colleges will go on to shape how India and the world interact with technology for decades.
Bitcoin Bharat's presence across UVCE, Christ University, and Ramaiah reflects a simple belief: the people building tomorrow's technology should understand the most important monetary network running on it today. Not as speculation. Not as a trading opportunity. As a foundational piece of knowledge about how open, permissionless money works and why it matters.
Looking Ahead
As the Bitcoin India Tour continues its journey across the country, Bengaluru stands out as a powerful reminder of why Bitcoin education matters. In a city known for building the technologies that shape the future, students showed a genuine curiosity to understand the principles behind the world's first decentralized monetary network. From UVCE to Christ University and Ramaiah Institute of Technology, the conversations went far beyond price and speculation as they focused on technology, economics, and the importance of financial freedom in a digital age.
For Bitcoin Bharat, this is only the beginning. By bringing Bitcoin education directly to campuses, we are helping cultivate a new generation of thinkers, builders, and innovators who can engage with Bitcoin critically, responsibly, and confidently. The foundation has been laid, the curiosity is growing, and Bengaluru has shown that India's future leaders are ready to participate in shaping the future of money.
As more campuses join the movement, Bitcoin Bharat remains committed to ensuring that Bitcoin education reaches every corner of the country-one conversation, one classroom, and one student at a time.
Bitcoin Bharat is India’s largest grassroots Bitcoin education movement - bringing Bitcoin education to every corner of India, one city and one conversation at a time.
